ACCOUNT MANAGER - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - SOUTH EAST MELB in DANDENONG SOUTH, Victoria

The Company: The business is privately-owned and operated within the FMCG Space and we are looking for a self-motivated proactive high impact individual to become part of our sales team in the specialized field of Packaging and Point of Sale.
About the Role: The successful candidate will require a genuine willingness to learn all aspects of the business, with the goal of becoming an expert in this highly rewarding and specialized sales field.
Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager you will have the opportunity to learn the business sales ropes and gain exposure to a large portfolio of existing customers with key direction to grow and expand on the current National Customer base.
We are looking for someone who possesses a can-do attitude and has a sincere desire to progress within the organization and you will be provided with training and support to manage your duties successfully and develop your sales career within this dynamic industry.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Act as a point of contact for new and existing sales inquiries – Packaging and Point of Sale
Provide daily support on new sales leads, opportunities and quotes according to company procedure
Maintain sales data and information for new and existing projects on which you work
Undertake site visits, liaising with customers
Define and document customer requirements and write up quotations
Draft, issue and follow up quotes, to maximize opportunity for conversion
Finalize project specifications and handover to operations teams nationally
Proactively develop industry knowledge to become an expert in your field
New Business Development – Project Management
The key selection criteria for this position are:
Minimum two years' experience within the account management space or similar role will be considered highly
Tertiary qualifications preferred in marketing and or Sales
A proven flair in customer service and in upholding the highest standards of professionalism
Excellent personal presentation, written and verbal communications
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines according to business need
Must have a strong work ethic, with a willingness to handle additional duties during peak periods
Advanced PC literacy (MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience with ERP software an advantage, but not essential as training will be offered
Must hold a current driver's license
Role is located in SE suburbs with direct access to freeway
